Baby Skin Must Be Protected and Cared For to the Most

There is nothing worse than the feeling of helplessness that you can feel when you do not know what is wrong with your child. Lots of bacteria and germs are coming up for their likelihood to rest and home on your fragile baby’s skin. It is vital to be very careful with your baby’s skin care. In the first stages of our life, the skin is very delicate, fragile and thin. Baby’s delicate skin is different in functions and structure than the skin of a matured one. It has high water content, with low sweat production and the protection through sebum is almost inexistent.

The delicate babies are very sensitive to temperature changes, unfitting humidity or harmful and irritating substances. Consider using natural baby skin care products as they are gentler for your baby’s skin.

It is quite alarming how babies can also be stricken with eczema, a form of dermatitis or inflammation of the epidermis (the outer layer of the skin). Babies afflicted with eczema must be very uncomfortable, especially that they don’t have the ability to speak out their discomfort or can do anything to relieve themselves from their itchy dry skin. They are absolutely dependent on their parents and caregivers for these things. The development of eczema in a baby is more common than you think. More so, there are also a lot of parents like you who are willing to provide your own baby with the comfort that he or she deserves even to go the extra mile.

Babies are scheduled for some vaccination and immunization. However, Smallpox vaccine should not be given to your baby should you see signs or with a history of eczema. This is quite a medical breakthrough in learning this fact because of the danger of transmission of vaccinia. It also should not be given to your baby if he or she has close contact with anyone who has active eczema and who has not been vaccinated.

Only one type of eczema affect babies and this is known as seborrhoeic dermatitis. This is a condition occasionally categorized as a form of eczema that is closely related to dandruff. This disease causes dry or greasy peeling of the scalp, eyebrows, and face, and sometimes the trunk of infants. The condition is mild skin disorder except in severe cases of a cradle cap. No known cure for eczema yet and therefore, treatments just aim to control the symptoms by reducing inflammation and relieving itching.

Finally, Prevention is supposed to be the most effective tool in maintaining your baby’s delicate skin.
